Cape Town City have moved to second position on the DStv Premiership standings after a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.
Darwin Gonzalez Mendoza’s well taken shot gave the Citizens the lead in the 17th minute. This was the 27-year-old Venezuelan’s first goal in a Citizens’ shirt.
Mduduzi Mdantsane, formerly with Baroka FC, increased the Citizens’ lead when he scored from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute.
