Percy Tau scored a brace and created two goals during his team Al Ahly’s 4-0 win over a 10 men Entente Sportive de Setif in a CAF Champions League semi-final first leg clash at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday evening.
Emalahleni-born star Tau opened the scoring for the Red Devils when he headed in Taher Mohamed Taher’s cross in the 30th minute.
Five minutes later, Zambian-born match referee Janny Sikazwe reduced Setif to 10 men after he red carded Amir Karaoui for a bad tackle on Hussein El Shahat.
Tau returned the favour when he turned provider for Taher to head home scoring the Red Devils’ second goal in the 54th minute.
Tau was the provider once again putting through Mohamed Sherif to score the Red Devils’ third goal in the 72nd minutes.
The 27-year-old Tau completed his brace in the 90th minute netting the Egyptian giants’ fourth goal of the match after he was put through by Mohamed Hany.
Meanwhile, the two sides are going to meet again in the second leg in Algiers, Algeria, next weekend.
