Moroccan side Wydad Club Athletic have one foot in the final of the CAF Champions League after they beat Petro Atletico 3-1 in a semi-final first leg match at the 11de Novembre Stadium in Talatona, Angola, on Saturday afternoon. 

The Moroccans took the lead through Tiago Azulao’s own goal in the 17th minute and Yahya Jabrane doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Congolese striker Guy Mbenza made it 3-0 for Wydad in the 69th minute to give the Moroccans a comfortable lead. 

The Angolans kept fighting despite losing and they scored their consolation goal through Ricardo Job nine minutes before full-time. 

Meanwhile, the second leg is going to be played in Casablanca, Morocco, next weekend.
