Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has won the April DStv Premiership Coach of the Month award after leading the Citizens to a five-match unbeaten run.
Tinkler led the Citizens to wins over Baroka FC (5-1), Maritzburg United (1-0) and Kaizer Chiefs (2-1) as well as draws against Royal AM and champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former Team of Choice, Chippa United, SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates coach won the prize ahead of Sundowns coaching Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena as well as Royal AM’s John Maduka.
On the other hand, Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile won the Player of the Month award after banging in two back-to-back hattricks against Swallows FC and Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Meanwhile, Chiefs attacking midfielder Keagan Dolly’s free kick against Chippa United has earned him the Goal of the Month award.
