Prince Dlomo will return to the ring less than a month after he made a second successful defence of his South African junior-welterweight title.
The SA champion, who defeated Xolani Mcotheli in Johannesburg on 8 May, is set to defend his SA title against Xolani Mgidi at the Greyville Convention Centre, Durban, on Sunday, 5 June.
Dlomo, who is originally from Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal, will be making the third defence of the title he won when he outpointed Mcotheli last year.
The 32-year-old Dlomo defeated Sisonke Makeleni in his first defence of the title last September and also beat Mcotheli less than two weeks ago.
On the other hand, Mgidi from Ogies in Mpumalanga will go to battle against Dlomo following his win over Sam Sithole last month.
Next month’s fight is going to be a rematch of the April 2018 clash, which was won by Dlomo on points in Kagiso.
