Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has been found guilty of bringing the league into disrepute following some media utterances he made.

Comitis was fined R80 000, which has been wholly suspended for a year on condition that he’s not found guilty of the same offence again in that period.

The Citizens boss found himself in the dog box after he criticised the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for the manner in which it handled the Kaizer Chiefs case.

Amakhosi failed to honour DStv Premiership matches against the Citizens at home and Lamontville Golden Arrows away after more than 30 of their personnel tested positive for COVID-19 in December last year.

Meanwhile, Comitis has been ordered to pay costs of the two settings and also send a written apology to the PSL executive as well as Chiefs.
