Trusted AmaZulu defender and the club’s former captain Tapelo Xoki is leaving the Durban side to join Orlando Pirates.
This was confirmed by Usuthu president Sandile Zungu during an interview on Ukhozifm on Wednesday evening.
The 27-year-old Xoki, who is originally from Khayelitsha in Cape Town, has been one of Usuthu’s most consistent performers.
Meanwhile, Zungu has also revealed that Usuthu are set to sign Malawian striker Gabadinho Mhango from the Buccaneers.
The Umlazi-born Usuthu boss added that the club will release 13 players and add eight more new signings.
