Royal AM came from behind to play to a 2-2 draw with Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership match at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Friday evening.
The Buccaneers raced to a 2-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes after Deon Hotto opened the scoring in the third minute following a cross from Thembinkosi Lorch. Kwame Peprah made it 2-0 when he headed in past Thwihli Thwahla goalkeeper Marlon Heugh in the seventh minute.
Former Pirates left-back Thabo Matlaba pulled one back for Thwihli Thwahla in the 79th minute beating Bucs goalminder Richard Ofori with his weaker foot.
Mfundo Thikazi scored in added time to make sure that Pirates didn’t get maximum points from the match.
Meanwhile, the Soweto giants are going to wrap up their season with an away clash against SuperSport United next Monday.
