Free State female boxer Matshidiso ‘The Tiger’ Mokebisi has scored a date with inexperienced Briton Katie Healy.
Mokebisi and Healy are set to collide in a World Boxing Federation (WBF) female junior-featherweight title fight at the Steve Tshwete Banquet Hall in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, on Friday, 8 July.
The 32-year-old Mokebisi, who was born in Kroonstad, is fresh from a points victory over Zimbabwean Chiedza Homakoma. Their fight was held at the Dr Molemela Sport Centre in Bloemfontein last month.
Healy, on the other hand, is unbeaten in four fights and she defeated Romanian-Hungarian Gabriella Meize in her last fight in April. The 24-year-old Healy from Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom made his professional debut in May last year.
