After officiating during the CAF Champions League final between eventual winners Wydad Club Athletic and Al Ahly on Monday, South African whistleman Victor Gomes and assistant referee Zakhele Siwela have been given yet another very important assignment.
Gomes and Siwela have been appointed to officiate in a 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off match between Australia and Peru at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Monday, 13 June (21h00). Gomes is going to be the fourth official while Siwela is the reserve assistant referee.
Slavko Vincic from Slovenia is going to be the match referee assisted by his countrymen Tomaz Klancinik and Andraz Kovacic.
