Prince Dlomo retained his South African junior-welterweight title after he stopped Xolani Mgidi in the eighth round at the Greyville Convention Centre in Durban on Sunday evening.
Dlomo, who was born in Pietermaritzburg, has now defended his title thrice since winning it during a fight against Xolani Mcotheli in March last year.
And this was the 32-year-old Dlomo’s first fight in his home province since he made his professional debut in July 2011.
