Devin Haney became an undisputed world champion after he overcame Australian George Kambosos Junior during their fight in front of 41 129 people at the Malvern Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday morning.

Apart from successfully depending his World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title, Haney added the World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’, International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organisation (WBO) and Ring Magazine belts. 

Having done very well during the fight, the judges Zoltan Enyedi (116-112), Pawel Kardyni (118-110) and Benoit Roussel (116-112) agreed that the American boxer was the deserving winner of the duel. 

With the win, the 23-year-old unbeaten Haney became an undisputed world lightweight champion. It’s the first time ever in the four-belt era that the lightweight division has an undisputed champion.
