Sabelo Ngebiyana from Komani in the Eastern Cape has been given an all clear as doctors said he no longer has orbital problems.
This comes after Boxing South Africa (BSA) ordered Ngebiyana to go for a CT scan to check a right eye orbital fracture.
After going for a CT scan at the Park Lane Clinic in Johannesburg, it was found that Ngebiyana’s orbit is intact.
“BSA sent us for another CT scan at their recommended doctor to clear up the previous one. It came back all clear. He has been cleared to fight,” Ngebiyana’s trainer Bruno Pereira said.
It was feared that Ngebiyana travelled to London in the United Kingdom in April and fought with Ashley Sexton while knowing very well that he had an ‘orbital fracture’.
The doctor’s report from Park Lane Clinic said: “There is no right orbital fracture identified. Orbital contents are contained within the orbits.”
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old former South African junior-bantamweight champion is expected to return to action in Johannesburg next month.
