Former South African female champion Noxolo Makhanavu is going to fight for the second time in the bantamweight division when she faces Monalisa Takane in East London on Sunday, 19 June.
Makhanavu and Takane are scheduled to clash in a vacant African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC bantamweight title fight.
The former SA female flyweight titlist moved up two divisions after struggling with weight last year. She was outpointed by Melissa Miller in her bantamweight debut in April.
With a record of seven wins (four knockouts) and three losses, Makhanavu is going to come up against Takane, who has won all her four fights. Takane defeated Lufuno Mutshayi in her last fight in April.
