After stopping Sanele Maduna in the second round three months ago, Cape Town-based Mzuvukile ‘Old Bones’ Magwaza is now set to lace his gloves once again.
Duncan Village-born Magwaza is scheduled to face off with former South African junior-bantamweight champion Sabelo Ngebiyana in Johannesburg next month.
Magwaza, who last fought in December 2017 before meeting Maduna, made an impressive return to the ring after a forced absence of more than four years, which was caused by his shooting at his Site C, Khayelitsha, home in January 2018.
The former World Boxing Federation (WBF) bantamweight champion will have to dish out yet another impressive performance when he faces Ngebiyana.
Meanwhile, Ngebiyana from Komani left a lasting impression in the United Kingdom after he stopped Edmonton-born Ashley Sexton in the fifth round during their fight held at York Hall, Bethnal Green, in London in April.
Ngebiyana, however, didn’t win the IBF International bantamweight title because he had failed to make the required weight before his fight against Sexton.
