A CAF executive committee meeting, which sat in Rabat, Morocco has announced a number of changes in both the Africa Cup of Nations and the Champions League.
It has been decided that the 2023 AFCON tournament be moved from June/July to January/February 2024 due to the rainy season in Ivory Coast.
On the other hand, the African Super League will start in August 2023 while the CAF Champions League final is back to the home and away format.
Meanwhile, the prize money of the Super League is $100-million (R1.6-billion) with the winners taking home R197 million.
