The draw for this year’s edition of the Engen Knockout Challenge was conducted at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Tuesday.

This year sees the return of Lamontville Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United while AmaZulu are the hosts. 

The tournament celebrates 20 years of unleashing raw talent in the KwaZulu-Natal province. The games will be played from 15 to 17 July 2022 at King’s Park.

This year’s edition sees the tournament  having female teams being included.

SAFA eThekwini president Mazwi Mkhize thanked the Engen for supporting the football fratenetity.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who is an ambassador, said he’s expecting more from this province as it has talent. 

“With better preparations this year I’m hoping teams will give us good football as they have the entire year to prepare for this tournament,” the former Bafana Bafana star said.
