Hot Box Gym chief trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan is not worried about his boxer Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini fighting against Toto Helebe this coming weekend.
Dlamini faces Cala-born Helebe in a catchweight bout over 10 rounds at an Unleashed Combat Sport tournament, which is going to be held at the SABC Renaissance Centre in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, on Sunday.
“I’m not even entertaining the thought that we are gonna lose because we are going to win the fight. We are not afraid of Helebe,” Nathan said.
This is the second time Dlamini fights at catchweight in less than a year. His fight against Tanzanian Hassan Ndonga last December was at catchweight. The former World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver featherweight champion stopped Ndonga in the second round at the Orient Theatre in East London.
Meanwhile, former South African bantamweight champion Helebe has been fight-starved for almost three years. Helebe, who is based in Gugulethu, Cape Town, last fought in August 2019.
