Sunday was the last day of the KwaZulu-Natal edition of the Engen Knockout Challenge with all the matches having been held at King’s Park Stadium’s outer field.
First time participants Midlands Academy and Sunflower FC emerge victorious in men’s and ladies respectively. Midlands Academy beat Magic Future Stars 1-0 while Sunflower FC defeated Sapphire FC 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in regulation time.
The two teams are going to represent KZN at the Champ of Champs in Johannesburg as both were crowned champions of the 20th edition of the Engen Knockout Challenge in the men’s the and ladies finals.
