Zolani ‘Last Born’ Tete’s upward movement in world ratings has gained momentum after his win over Jason Cunningham earlier this month.
Tete won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) International, World Boxing Organisation (WBO) International and Commonwealth junior-featherweight titles when he stopped Jason Cunningham in the fourth round in Wembley, London.
As a result of the win, Tete has since barged into the World Boxing Council (WBC) ratings as he is now rated seventh.
The 34-year-old Mdantsane boxer, who is a former world champion, is now rated sixth by the IBF and third by the WBO.
Murodjon Akhmadaliev from Uzbekistan is the reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ and IBF junior-featherweight champion while the WBC and WBO titles are held by American Stephen Fulton Junior.
