The date for Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga’s world title fight against Mexican Hector ‘Baby Bull’ Flores in Mexico has been changed to Saturday, 3 September (Sunday, 4 September, South African time).
Initially, this vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight shootout was scheduled for Tijuana, Baja California, in Mexico on Friday, 19 August (Saturday, 20 August, SA time).
The 23-year-old Nontshinga is unbeaten, having won all his 10 fights with nine of those ending in stoppages.
On the other hand, the 29-year-old Flores is also unbeaten as he has registered 20 wins with half of those being knockouts and four of his fights ended in draws.
Nontshinga is rated number one by the IBF while Flores is third. The Mexican is also rated 13th by the World Boxing Council (WBC), fourth by the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) rates him in 12th position.
