Daine Klate collected his first three points as a senior team coach after he led his team Chippa United to a 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Sunday afternoon.
Tanzanian Abdi Banda, who joined the Chilli Boys recently, scored the only goal of the match four minutes from full-time to give the Eastern Cape side their first win of the season.
Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys, who won their second match ever over Pirates away, have now collected four points from three matches this season. They have won once, drawn once and lost one match.
Meanwhile, the Chilli Boys are going to face Maritzburg United away at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday evening while the Buccaneers face Royal AM at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, on Wednesday.
