A win continues to elude Cape Town City as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Stellenbosch FC in a DStv Premiership clash at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.
After searching for a goal, the Citizens scored through Darwin Gonzalez in the 42nd minute. The Venezuelan headed in his second goal of the season from Brice Ambina’s cross.
Stellies equalised in the 73rd minute after Junior Mendieta headed in Fawaaz Basadien’s cross. This was the Argentine’s second goal this term.
The winless Citizens have drawn twice and lost three times while Stellies have one win and three draws.
