Winning the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title has already opened doors for Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga.

The 23-year-old world champion has joined Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom in a bid to take his boxing career further.

News of Nontshinga’s move to Matchroom was revealed on Wednesday evening, a day after he returned to South Africa from Mexico where he defeated Mexican boxer Hector Flores to lift the IBF junior-flyweight title on Sunday morning (South African time).

The unbeaten Nontshinga became the first boxer to beat Flores when he outpointed the Mexican at the Centro de Usos Multiples in Hermosillo, Sorona, Mexico.
