Just as Chippa United thought they had stolen a point from Mamelodi Sundowns, Peter Shalulile popped in and scored the Brazilians’ winning goal in referee’s added time at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday evening.

An Aubrey Modiba corner was flicked on by Mothobi Mvala for Shalulile to score his fifth goal of the season when he beat his compatriot Loydt Kazapua in Chilli Boys’ goals.

The Brazilians had dominated throughout the match only to be frustrated by Kazapua, who made a series of great saves.

The win took the defending DStv Premiership champions to the top of the standings with 13 points from seven matches while the Chilli Boys are rooted at the bottom of the table.

The Tshwane giants finished the match with 10 players after Modiba was sent for an early shower by referee Thabo Mkhabela following a second bookable offence in added time.
