Chippa United won their second match of the season when they defeated AmaZulu 2-1 in a DStv Premiership match away at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon.
The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys took the lead in the seventh minute after Roscoe Pietersen converted a penalty.
The Chilli Boys were awarded a penalty after Usuthu defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele had handled the ball inside the box.
Azola Matrose doubled the Chilli Boys lead when he rounded Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa to score five minutes before half-time.
Former Chilli Boys defender Veluyeke Zulu, who moved to AmaZulu before the beginning of this season, halved the deficit in referee’s added time.
AmaZulu finished the match with 10 men after Nigerian-born striker Augustine Kwem was red carded for a violent push on Justice Chabalala.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC beat Swallows FC 2-1 in another DStv Premiership match at the Milpark Stadium in Johannesburg.
