Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians have announced the appointment of outgoing Proteas mentor Mark Boucher as their new coach.
Boucher, who is going to leave the South African senior national cricket team after the T20 World Cup tournament, will start at his new job in March next year.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed earlier this week that the 45-year-old Boucher was going to step down as Proteas coach.
East London-born Boucher started as Proteas coach in December 2019 and led them to 11 Test victories including a 2-1 series win against India this year.
The Proteas, who lost 2-1 to England in a three-match series on Monday, are now second on the ICC World Test Championship table.
