Cape Town City confirmed the acquisition of left back Lyle Lakay from Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday evening.
The 31-year-old Lakay, who won the Defender of the Season award last term, is on a season-long loan from the Brazilians.
Cape Town-born Lakay returned to the Citizens having left them for the defending DStv Premiership champions in 2018.
