Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is happy with his team’s 1-0 win over Botswana, but unhappy with how his players performed during this international friendly match played at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening.

The Belgian believes that some of his players didn’t put their all against the Zebras after Bafana’s 4-0 thumping of Sierra Leone last Saturday.

“I’m happy with the victory. There was a goal for us this camp. Two victories, we have them. Satisfaction and happiness,” the former Cameroon national team coach said.

“On the other side, I’m not happy with the performance. This is not what we expected. I think it’s clear that some players are maybe not good enough, are not able to bring what we have to do in this level.

“PSL is something, but international games are tougher, are quicker, are different. I chose to have two teams to see what the players can do. Again, I’m not happy. But again, we won, that’s the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, Zebras coach Mogomotsi Mpote is satisfied with how his boys played despite losing to Bafana.

“We couldn’t miss the opportunity to come and play the South Africans. I’m happy with the performance. The league on our side has not yet started,” he said.
