Xaba Promotions and Events boss Ayanda Matiti is the new chairperson of the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association.
Matiti beat his Showtime Productions counterpart Mbali Zantsi at a every tense elective conference held in Durban in the early hours of Sunday.
Dream Team Promotions boss Lebo Mahoko is Matiti’s deputy while Starline Boxing Promotions’ Zandile Malinga is the secretary and is deputised by Phathutshedzo Dongola of Limpopo Boxing Promotions.
Kaya Majeke of KM Sports Promotions and Events is the association’s treasurer. J4Joy Promotions boss Jacob Mnisi and Jani Hebler from Fifth Element Promotions are the two additional members.
