Richards Bay FC’s impressive performance continued as they beat AmaZulu 1-0 in a KwaZulu-Natal derby at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday evening.

Match referee Thando Ndzandzeka was forced to stop play in the 75th minute because of lightning.

A referee’s added time own goal by Usuthu goalkeeper and captain Veli Mothwa handed the Premiership newcomers the three points.

The Natal Rich Boyz remain second on the Premiership standings with 17 points from five wins, two draws and two defeats.

Usuthu, meanwhile, are ninth with 11 points following three victories, two draws and four defeats.
