Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan is going for his second world title in just over a month as he will usher Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini into battle on Saturday.

Dlamini is going to trade blows with Briton James ‘Jazza’ Dickens in a vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight title contest in Liverpool.

Nathan led Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga to International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight glory last month. Nontshinga defeated Mexican boxer Hector Flores in Mexico to win the IBF belt.

“Irrespective of what it is, I’m here to break records,” the Cape Town-born Hot Box Gym chief trainer said.

Nathan is no stranger to winning world titles with two boxers in a short space of time. He led Hekkie Budler to World Boxing Association (WBA) junior-flyweight glory when he defeated Colombian Karluis Diaz on 1 March 2014.

Nathan then guided now retired Moruti Mthalane to IBO flyweight conquest in a clash against Filipino boxer Jetha Oliva 14 days after Budler’s win.

Meanwhile, the IBO rates Dlamini from Thabong in Welkom, Free State, on 23rd spot and Dickens is 11th.

Dlamini is rated sixth by the World Boxing Council (WBC) and is eighth on the International Boxing Federation (IBF) ratings while Dickens is 14th on the WBC and 12th on the IBF ratings.

Nathan together with Dlamini, Bernie Pailman and Shannon Strydom leave for the United Kingdom on Wednesday.
