Chippa United won their third successive match after they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday evening.

The Chilli Boys came from behind to register their third win since they fired coach Daine Klate last month.

Amakhosi scored first through an unlikely source Siyabonga Ngezana’s header on the stroke of half-time.

The Chilli Boys took the match to Chiefs at the beginning of the second half and they equalised with Siphelele Luthuli’s goal in the 54th minute.

With the clock ticking away, Edmilson Dove headed past his own goalkeeper Petersen from Luthuli’s free kick to give the Chilli Boys their winning goal the 89th minute.

The Gqebera-based Chilli Boys moved four places from 11th position to seventh spot on the Premiership table with 14 points.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay FC and Maritzburg United played to a goalless draw in an earlier match played at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban.
