A new date has been set for Lunga ‘Pressure Cooker’ Sitemela’s South African junior-lightweight title defence against Khanyile Bulana.
This clash, which was postponed after it was initially scheduled for Sunday, 16 October, is now going to take place next month.
Dordrecht-born Sitemela’s first defence of the title he won when he defeated Sibusiso Zingange in May this year is going to be promoted by Jackie Brice Boxing Promotions and is set for Sunday, 20 November in Cape Town.
Bulana from Scenery Park in East London will be fighting for the first time since he lost to former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-lightweight champion Michael Magnesi in Italy in April last year.
Magnesi from Italy stopped Bulana in the first round during an IBO junior-lightweight title defence.
Meanwhile, unbeaten Daniel Pontac from Bellville in Cape Town and Mzwabantu Dabaza are set to collide in a vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International flyweight bout.
Dabaza from Kariega in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro is the reigning Eastern Cape junior-flyweight champion.
