The Twenty20 World Cup match between the Proteas and Zimbabwe was abandoned on Monday because of persistent rain.
This Group 2 match was abandoned while the Proteas were in good position as they were chasing 80 runs to win after the Zimbabweans scored 79 for five in their alloted nine overs.
The Proteas were on 51 after three overs with Quinton de Kock having knocked 47 off 18 deliveries and Temba Bavuma was on two from two balls.
The number of overs was reduced from 20 to nine because of the persistent rain at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. The two teams shared a point each.
