Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha will be in familiar territory when he faces Filipino boxer Orlie Silvestre this coming Sunday
The clash between the two boxers has been moved to the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) following the unavailability of Orient Theatre, the original venue.
Tyirha and Silvestre are going to fight for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental junior-flyweight title.
This bout is promoted by Happy Tewo’s Tewo Boxing Promotions and is going to be Tyirha’s first fight since he left Xaba Promotions and joined Rumble Africa Promotions two months ago.
The former South African junior-flyweight champions last three fights, which were against Filipinos Esneth Domingo, Jaysever Abcede and Joey Canoy were held at the ICC.
Meanwhile, Silvestre and his handlers are expected to land at the King Phalo Airport in East London at 17h25 on Wednesday – a day before the pre-fight medical check-up, which is set for Mdantsane.
