Sikho ‘Sequence’ Nqothole from Mthatha and his Filipino opponent Denmark Quibido have made the required weight and are ready to trade blows. 

The 28-year-old Nqothole and Quibido face off in a vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global junior-bantamweight title fight at the Galleria, Sandton, Johannesburg on Thursday evening. 

Nqothole, who is trained by former South African bantamweight champion Phumzile Matyhila, has a professional record of 15 wins (10 stoppages) and two defeats. 

On the other hand, the 26-year-old Quibido comes highly recommended having won 12 times with seven of those wins coming from knockouts against one draw. 

Meanwhile, South African boxer Jabulani Makhense clashes with Henriques Lando from Angola in a vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Continental Africa welterweight title contest in the main supporting bout.
