The Springoks had a bad start to their end-of-year tour of Europe as they were beaten 19-16 by Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday evening.
This was the Irish’s continued dominance over the Boks as they registered their seventh win against the South Africans in 11 Test matches dating back to 2004.
Josh van der Flier and Mack Hansen scored Ireland’s tries with Johnny Sexton converting three penalties. On the other hand, Franco Mostert and Kurt-Lee Arendse crossed the try line for the Boks while Damian Willemse and Cheslin Kolbe each converted a penalty.
Meanwhile, the Springboks are now going to play against France in their second match in Marseilles next Saturday at 22h00.
