Senegal have suffered a massive blow as their captain Sadio Mané has been forced to withdraw from their FIFA World Cup squad because of injury.
The Senegalese suffered an injury to his right fibula during his club Bayern Munich’s 6-1 win over Werder Bremen on Tuesday last week. He underwent surgery in Innsbruck, Austria, on Thursday evening.
The 30-year-old former Liverpool megastar was withdrawn from the Teranga Lions squad on Thursday just a few days before the World Cup starts in Qatar. .
