Angola held Bafana Bafana to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly match played at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday afternoon.

After trying for some time, the Angolans took the lead through Ambrosini Salvador’s header in the 20th minute.

Eight minutes later, Bafana equalised after Zakhele Lepasa beat Angola goalkeeper Hugo Marques from the penalty spot. Match referee Joshua Bondo from Botswana awarded Bafana a penalty after Salvador had fouled Kgaogelo Sekgota inside the box.

This was the second international friendly match in less than a week for coach Hugo Broos’ boys, who defeated Mozambique 2-1 at the same Nelspruit venue on Thursday.
