Former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) cruiserweight champion Kevin Lerena is going to fly out of South Africa for London in the United Kingdom on Thursday evening.

Lerena is leaving for the UK to finalise his preparations ahead of his clash against London resident and current World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois next week.

This world title fight is scheduled for the 62 850-seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Saturday, 3 December.

The 30-year-old Lerena, who has won 28 fights and lost once, leaves for the UK together with one of his trainers Peter Smith.

Lerena outpointed Polish boxer Mariusz Wach in his last fight, which was held at the Emperors Palace in Kempton Park in September. They fought for the then vacant IBO Intercontinental heavyweight title.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Dubois from London has won 12 fights with knockouts and only lost once. Dubois stopped American boxer Trevor Ryan during their fight in Miami, United States, just over five months ago.
