The Carthage Eagles shocked Les Bleus with Wahbi Khazri’s 58th minute goal, but Australia’s win over Denmark meant that the Socceroos advanced to the second round together with the French.
Matthew Leckie’s goal on the hour mark was enough for the Socceroos to defeat Denmark at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
