Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue became the first undisputed bantamweight champion of the world in the four-belt era after he defeated Briton Paul Butler at the Arieka Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday.
The Japanese boxer stopped Butler in the 11th round to add the Briton’s World Boxing Organisation (WBO) bantamweight crown to his World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) titles.
The 29-year-old unbeaten Inoue has improved his record to 24 wins and 21 knockouts while Butler dropped to 34 victories (15 stoppages) and three defeats.
