It was a bad start for new Swallows FC coach Ernst Middendorp as the Dube Birds were beaten 1-0 by Richards Bay FC in a DStv Premiership encounter at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoon.
Tshepo Mabua scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 11th minute to give the Natal Rich Boyz the win.
The win sent the Natal Rich Boyz back to second position on the Premiership standings with 26 points after they won seven matches, drew five times and lost twice this season.
On the other hand, the Dube Birds are 14th on the standings with 13 points following three victories, four draws and six losses.
