Bad light and rain resulted in the early end of day one of the third Test between Australia and the Proteas at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first and at stumps the Australians had knockef 147 runs for two in 47 overs.
Proteas bowler Anrich Nortje took both wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner. Labuschagne was caught by Kyle Verrynne after he had knocked 79 runs from 151 deliveries and Marco Jansen caught Warner, who had 10 from 11 balls.
Usman Khawaja at 54 after facing 121 deliveries and Steven Smith are going to resume batting when play starts again on Thursday.
