Australia opening batsman Usman Khawaja was five runs short of a double century at stumps on the second day of the third Test against the Proteas at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday. 

Australia were 475 for four in 131 overs with Khawaja on 195 after he faced 368 deliveries and Matthew Renshaw was on five runs from 11 balls.

After knocking 104 runs from 192 deliveries, Steven Smith was caught and bowled by Keshav Maharaj.
