Mamelodi Sundowns have stretched their unbeaten run to 10 matches after they defeated Chippa United 2-1 in a DStv Premiership match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Tuesday evening.
The defending DStv Premiership champions took the lead through Teboho Mokoena’s header following a free kick from Aubrey Modiba in the 14th minute.
Second half substitute Peter Shalulile, who was playing for the first time since October last year after missing matches due to injury, doubled the Brazilians’ lead in the 67th minute.
The Chilli Boys pressed hard in the second half in search of goals and their efforts were rewarded with Thabiso Lebitso’s header from Ronaldo Maarman’s cross in referee’s added time.
The Tshwane giants, who are yet to lose a match since Rulani Mokwena took over as head coach, conceded a goal for the first time since October last year.
