Chippa United and Cape Town City played to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday evening.
The Citizens took the lead after Brice Ambina’s attempt deflected on Justice Chabalala and rolled into the net in the 28th minute.
The Chilli Boys equalised through Etiosa Ighodaro who headed in Azola Ntsabo’s cross on the stroke of half-time. Ighodaro had only been on the field for only a few minutes after he had replaced Diego Appolis.
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United defeated Stellenbosch FC 1-0 through Chibuike Ohizu’s 34th minute at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands on Saturday evening.
