After spending some time being the only boxer rated in the light-heavyweight division, African Boxing Union (ABU) champion Luvuyo Sizani will finally get an opportunity to fight for the South African title.
The 27-year-old Sizani from Ilinge in Komani is scheduled to face off with Lebogang Moshitoa in a rematch as they fight for the vacant SA light-heavyweight title in Johannesburg on Thursday, 23 February.
Sizani, who stopped Moshitoa in March 2021, has won all his seven fights with three of his opponents failing to go the distance and his last fight was a win over Rowan Campbell four months ago.
Currently, Moshitoa is number three in the cruiserweight division and will go down to light-heavyweight just to square up against Sizani. The 26-year-old Moshitoa last fought when he defeated Youssef Mwanza Kasongo from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in November.
