Lamontville Golden Arrows have made life difficult for Marumo Gallants beating them 3-2 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban, on Wednesday evening.
Gallants scored first through Celimpilo Ngema from a rebound in the 39th minute after his penalty was saved by Arrows goalkeeper Sifiso Mlungwana. The struggling Limpopo club were awarded a penalty by match referee Siyabulela Qunta after Divine Lunga had fouled Katlego Otladisa inside the box.
Nqubeko Dlamini equalised for Abafana Bes’thende in the 53rd minute and seven minutes later, Pule Mmodi put Arrows ahead.
Zimbabwean Knox Mutizwa made it 3-1 in the 71st minute. Six minutes later, Ranga Chivaviro scored Gallants’ second goal of the match.
Abafana Bes’thende moved to ninth position on the Premiership standings while Gallants remained at the bottom of the 16-team table.
